C-Crete Adaptive Reuse

In early 2024, the Hubbard’s Corner project team in Seattle, WA placed five different concrete mixtures of lower-carbon concrete, ranging from an ASTM C595 mixture with 25% Portland cement replacement, to ASTM C1157 mixtures with 100% Portland cement replacement. Testing and placement data is presented within this case study, as well as the embodied carbon findings per mixture. This work was funded by Davies-Crooks Associates, with case study findings summarized and shared as part of a ClimateWorks Lower-Carbon Concrete Study.
